Partying in Berlin is a great experience. There are not many cities in the world who can compete with the nightlife in Berlin and the great parties are defenitely a reason to visit the capital of Germany. The clubs in Berlin are very versatile and the prices are very reasonable.
Clubs in Berlin
In November 2012, CNN compared some of the beste nightlife-cities in the world and Berlin ended up winning the second place (only Ibiza scored higher). Partying in Berlin scored the maximum amount of point on the aspects opening-hours and music. If you partied in Berlin before, you know that CNN is right: Berlin never sleeps and it is a great benefit that many great and talented DJ’s love to perform in the capital of Germany. Besides the opening-hours and the music, the clubs in Berlin also offer very reasonable prices: For about 10-15 Euro you can party in Berlin and see some of the best artists from all over Europe.
Because Berlin offers many different clubs, it might be useful to get some help when you are choosing the right place to visit on your precious free nights. On Berlin-Enjoy you can find articles about clubs in Berlin on a regular basis, but in this article we will present the best locations to party in Berlin in the current month. We selected the coolest clubs, the best DJ’s and the sweetest events and put them in the list.
Chosing events obviously comes with a great deal of subjectivity. Therefore we will always attempt to explain why a certain event should be visited and you will also find a lot of links to mixtapes and songs of the specific artists. But always keep in mind that the events are selected because we think they are great and not everybody has to share this opinion. Berlin offers a lot of great Techno and (Deep)House parties, so you will find many of them in the party-calender. If you do not agree with the events, feel free to leave a comment or contact us about great gigs and events which we should visit.
Party in Berlin: December 2017
December is a great month for must of us. We all have some extra days off so we can party a lot during this month. Besides that the christmas-markets are offering some extra evening-activities to warm up before you visit a club. Waiting in line for populars clubs for a few hours is uncomfortably cold in December, so maybe visit the clubs with a less strict door-policy. It can also be a smart idea to arrive a bit earlier or later so the line will not be that long. All in all December has plenty of great parties to offer for everybody who likes Berlin.
Are you looking for some great parties in Berlin during New Years Eve? Checkout our full article about this topic!
Koletzki, Claptone, Job Jobse and more
As mentioned, December has plenty to offer when it comes to great acts and talented DJs. Some real Berliner DJs will be performing and besides that some popular international names will also be visiting Berlin. If you are visiting Berlin to party, you will be excited to hear that talented DJs like Oliver Koletzki, Job Jobse, Andreas Henneberg, Pan-Pot and Claptone will be performing. If you never heard of these names before you can always listen to their music on Soundcloud: I mostly present a liveset or mixtape below the parties in Berlin in this article. So just take some time to listen to the music before the party iso you get a good idea of what to expect.
Below you can find the list of my favourite events to party in December 2017. You can decide to scroll down or click on one of the following links. We also added the two last events of last month to make the list as complete as possible.
01.12.2017 – Sammy Dee in Berghain
Berghain is probably the most famous club in Berlin. If you are looking for a special experience or party in Berlin, it might be a good idea to visit this Berliner club. The only small problem could be that it not easy to get into the Berghain these days. On a regular Saturday-night there is a very long line and about half of the people will be refused entrance. So if you want to visit the Berghain, make sure you are prepared for a small disappointment.
But if you get into the Berghain you will have a great night. This club has been voted as the best club in the world a couple of times. So I would suggest you make the best of the time you are waiting and if you will not get in you can always try another club. You do not have much to lose and if you get in, you are in one of the best clubs in world!
The line-up in the Berghain is always very solid. Every weekend you will be able to see a great DJ perform and the Berghain also has some regulars which are quite famous. Sammy Dee is one of the DJs who plays in the Berghain more often and his livesets are versatile and good. Sammy Dee is a bit harder to find on Soundcloud but you can find a podcast of last year over here
The entrance of the Berghain is always 14 Euro and for this amount you can stay as long as you want.
DJs: Sammy Dee
Address: Am Wriezener Bahnhof 70
Entrance: 14 Euro

02.12.2017 – Andreas Henneberg in Ritter Butzke
The Ritter Butzke is one of the clubs in Berlin which is represented in my party-calendar almost every month. If you like to party in Berlin and you love a solid line-up, you will probably love the DJs which are performing in the Ritter Butzke. The good thing is, that the Ritter Butzke has the same entrance-prices as most other clubs in Berlin, so for 10-15€ you can see many popular DJs in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Andreas Henneberg is a German DJ who has been performing at many large German Festivals this year. His music is a sweet mix of techno and plenty of melody and familiar tunes. When you want to listen to his music before you go and party in Berlin, you can listen to his Fusion-Liveset of 2016. Andreas Henneberg is also the owner of two music-labels and party of a DJ-Duo named “The Glitz”.

08.12.2017 – Tyree Cooper in Kater Blau
One of the most popular Berliner clubs of all times has been the Kater Holzig. If you have read my article about this club, you probably know that it was really a unique place to party in Berlin. But unfortunately the club had to close down and Berlin lost one of his great venues. Lucky enough the owners of the Kater Holzig opened a new place: The Kater Blau. This club is located directly at the Spree and still has this same unique atmosphere and style. Unfortunately it is quite hard to get in, but the place is definitely worth a visit.
Tyree Cooper is an American DJ who got famous for being one of the first to play House HipHop. I saw Tyree Cooper live in About:Blank once and this was one of the best nights in Berlin I had so far. Mister Cooper performed awesome and since that moment I try to visit him every time he visits Berlin. There is not that much music of him on Soundcloud, but here you can find a mixtape.
DJs: Tyree Cooper
Club: Kater Blau
Address: Holzmarktstraße 25
Entrance: 12-14 Euro
Music: Techno, House

09.12.2017 – Stereo Express in Suicide Circus
The Revaler Straße is one of the coolest streets in Friedrichshain and is connected to the Warschauer Brucke. In this area of Berlin you can find the Astra Club, Rosi’s and also the Suicide Circus. Suicide Circus is one of these raw clubs in Berlin which we all love to visit so much. Suicide Circus also has a garden, so when the weather is bit better in July you can also enjoy the music outside.
Stereo Express is a Belgian DJ who must of you might know from the remix of Sweet Dreams of Eurythmics. He made that remix in 2012 and that year you could not visit a festival without hearing that track at least once. Since that year Stereo Express got quite popular and has been playing on several large festivals. Last year he was also performing on Fusion and you can listen to the liveset here.
DJ: Stereo Express
Club: Suicide Circus
Address: Revaler Straße 99
Entrance: 10-12 Euro
Link to website: Suicide Circus Website
15.12.2017 – Job Jobse in About Blank
A club which is also located almost directly at station Ostkreuz is About Blank. A while ago I already wrote a full article about it because I really think it is one of the better clubs Berlin has to offer at this moment. The club About Blank has a very large garden which is perfect in the summer: Funny features like a campfire and some cool places to sit make this club special place.
Job Jobse is a dutch DJ which started his career in Club 11 in Amsterdam. Nowadays you can see him perform on many large festivals: This year he was playing at both Melt and Fusion, which are some of the best festivals in Germany. His music can be described as solid techno with some versatile tunes in it. If you want to listen to one of his livesets, you can find the one from Melt here.
DJs: Job Jobse
Club: About Blank
Address: Alt Stralau 70
Entrance: 12 Euro

16.12.2017 – Pan-Pot in Watergate
Watergate is one of these clubs located at the Spree and a very popular place for both tourist and Berliners. In my opinion the club misses a little bit of the rawness of Berlin but it defenitely offers some great features to compensate. There is a balcony directly above the water and when the sun rises it offers the best view ever. Besides that the line-up of Watergate is normally like a great festival: Many large DJs and great labels. If you want to read more about the Watergate, you can read this article.
The two friends Tassilo Ippenberger en Thomas Benedix are the men behind PanPot and this duo cannot be seperated from the main festivals in Europe and the rest of the world anymore. Compared to the Deephouse which is often mentioned in this calender, the music of Pan Pot can be considered as real techno so be prepared.
Adres: Falckensteinstraße 49
Entree: 15 Euro

22.12.2017 – Surgeon in Tresor
The Tresor is one of the most unique clubs in Berlin. De club is located in the Köpenickerstrasse in Berlin-Mitte and the place is literally located under the ground. The location reminds most visitors of a underground warbunker and the rough techno and excessive use of blacklight make a night in the Tresor a special experience. The Tresor can be reached by foot from station Jannowitzbrucke and the door-policy is not as difficult as many other clubs in Berlin.
Surgeon is a DJ from the UK who has been making music since 1994. His real name is Anthony Child and most of the time his livesets consist of solid techno. This fits very well together with Berlin because clubs like Tresor, Berghain and About:Blank mainly focus on techno-music. The performance of Surgeon is something I would be looking forward to, if you want to listen to his music before you go and party in Berlin you can click here.
Address: Köpenickestraße 70
Entrance: 10-12 Euro
Link to website: Tresor Website
23.12.2017 – Nils Ohrmann in Golden Gate
The Golden Gate is one of these raw Berliner clubs. The club is located in an old and ruinous building between Jannowitzbrucke and Alexanderplatz and does not really look that inviting from the outside. The door-policy is not that hard but people who dress-up too much have a large chance of being rejected. This club is for the music-lovers and not for people who want to shine. Because of its extreme opening-hours and underground-style, the Golden Gate fits perfectly in the nightlife of Berlin.
As the name already suggests, Nils Ohrmann is a DJ from Germany. Together with another DJ I personally like a lot, Daniel Steinberg, he owns the label Arms & Legs. Nils Ohrmann has been making electronic music for quite some tie already and he always seems to find a nice mix between house and techno. In Berlin you might experience his more rough livesets but he also loves to play some funky tunes with a lot of melody. If you want to listen to a liveset you can find onein the Golden Gate here.
DJs: Nils Ohrmann
Club: Golden Gate
Address: Dircksenstrasse 78
Entrance: 10-12 Euro
Link to event: Golden Gate
29.12.2017 – Oliver Koletzki in Kosmonaut
A club which has been around since a couple of years now is called the Kosmonaut. This club opened its doors in 2012 and has already found a way to make a name in the nightlife of Berlin. Every week many party-people visit the Kosmonaut for the great atmosphere and quality-music. This club is located in one of these old buildings and has large garden which is especially awesome during the summer. You can walk to the club from station Frankfurter Tor and the door-policy is quite reasonable compared to some other Berliner-clubs.
Oliver Koletzki is one of the most famous DJs in Germany and also known all over Europe. He has been “in the scene” for quite some time and is also the owner of the popular label Stil vor Talent. On this Stil vor Talent party in Berlin you can expect some of the best DJs of this label. Channel X, Benotmane and Illesnoise will all be present on this night in the watergate. If you want to listen to some livesets, you can find one from Oliver Koletzki here.
DJs: Oliver Koletzki
Address: Wiesenweg 1-4
Entrance: 10 Euro
Link to party: Kosmonaut FB
30.12.2017 – Claptone in Ritter Butzke
Obviously I would not recommend visiting the same club twice if you are in Berlin for a short period of time. The clubs in Berlin are very different from each other when it comes to style, people and atmosphere. But this list has to sum up the coolest parties in Berlin and in my opinion a party with Claptone and Sascha Braemer is something worth mentioning. If you want to read more about the Ritter Butzke, you can read our full article here.
Claptone is a DJ who found a way to be different than all other DJs. First of all he created an own kind of sound but besides that his appearance is unique. He always performance with a birds pecker on his head. On some occasions the crowd even receives peckers as well so the party gets a pretty unique vibe and atmosphere. Because of this Claptone became very popular in the last couple of years and his fanbase is very large right now. This year he played on Tomorrowland, which also proves his popularity. The liveset on tomorrowland is available and will get you in the mood to party in Berlin

31.12.2017 – New Years Eve in Berlin
Obviously December is an awesome month if you like to party. Except for the weekends there are many other days on which you will be able to party and sleep a few extra hours the day after. New Years Eve is one of them and for some people this is the best night of the year. Nice parties, shared countdowns and a good start of the next year. If you want to read more about these parties, you can read our article with parties in Berlin on New Years Eve.
Party in Berlin during the week

In the end it can be a really good idea to party during the week because the clubs are not that crowded and many clubs have free entrance. If you want to party in Berlin during the week, here are some suggestions:
