All over this world you can find special people. But if there is one city in the world which has plenty of unique and versatile people to offer it is Berlin. Every day millions of people walk around in Berlin and every single one of them has a story to tell. Some of the stories are sad and others are happy. But most of the time they are worth sharing.
One thing is sure: The people of Berlin are beautiful. At least once a week you can enjoy a photo of a person in Berlin. It does not matter if they are young, old, tall, small, black, white, gay or straight: all of them are interesting in their own way. Enjoy!
16.07.2014 – “Wer anderen eine Bratwurst brät, hat ein Bratwurstbratgerät!”
We were walking in Neukölln at the Karneval der Kulturen when we met this young woman. I asked to take a photo of her for The People of Berlin and she happily volunteered. Then more and more people started taking pictures of her and I wondered what was happening. Later that day I heard she plays the role of Joy in the German Soap-Serie “Unter Uns”.
When I asked her if she had a nice sentence for my website she said:”Wer anderen eine Bratwurst brät, hat ein Bratwurstbratgerät!”
Name: Micki Lassner
Location: Karneval der Kulturen
09.07.2014 – Future Star
We spotted this little boy on the streets of Neukölln and had a little chat with his parents. Raising a kid in Berlin is not always easy but with a clear set of rules everything will be just fine.
25.06.2014 – Polygamy
Monogamy is something which is interpretated as normal in society. But who says that it is really the right way to go? We met this lovely couple and the woman told us that she has more than one husband: Then they called in the other husband and this photograph was taken. No jealousy, no bitterness, a perfectly happy couple.
18.06.2014 – I used to be…
Giovanni was looking for bottles around U-Bahn-Station Mehringdamm. He told us he used to be a successful guy in Italy but lost everything and is collecting bottles on the streets of Berlin now. Giovanni is one of these special People of Berlin who have a tough life but are still positive and friendly.

11.06.2014 – Always “live in the now”
We met this very friendly lady in the park in Neukölln. She told us her sister died a while ago and since then she tries to enjoy every single day. Don´t live your life for tomorrow but live in the now was the advice she gave us.
Location: A Park in Neukölln
