Berlin offers many permanent children activities like the National History Museum and Legoland. But from time to time the city also offers temporary shows which are worth a visit. The Yakari show for children is one of them and can be visited in Berlin in May and June 2023.

Yakari & Little Thunder

Yakari is a popular children’s comic book series created in Belgium. The series follows the adventures of a young Native American named Yakari and his pony Little Thunder. Yakari can talk to animals and ends up in a variety of exciting adventures which usually have a educative lesson in them. The series about Yakari have been translated in 17 different languages and German is one of them.

Yakari Children show in Berlin

Starting on the 6th of May, you can visit a children show in Berlin which is dedicated to Yakari and Little Thunder. Altogether 30 horses and 30 artists will entertain you for 2 hours in an adventure about friendship and loyalty. The show can be visited at the Zentraler Festplatz which is in the north-west of Berlin. It will take you about 30 minutes by car from Alexanderplatz.

Ticket prices and other practical information

Tickets for the Yakari show can be bought online and start at 15€ for children (20€ for adults). Children younger than 3 years can visit for free but will not have their own seat. The shows are organised every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Usually the shows start at 15:00 or 16:00 and every Sunday there is also a show at 11:00 in the morning.

Is the Yakari show also fun for people who do not speak German?

Yes, the show can definitely be visited if you do not speak German. There is some German in the show but at the same time it will totally be possible to follow the show if you only speak English.
