Edgar Peng in Golden Gate
The Golden Gate is one of these raw Berliner techno clubs. The club is located in an old and ruinous building between Jannowitzbrucke and Alexanderplatz and does not really look that inviting from the outside. The door-policy is not as tough as some other Berliner Clubs but still people get rejected occasionally. This club is for the music-lovers and not for people who want to shine. Because of its extreme opening-hours and underground-style, the Golden Gate fits perfectly in the nightlife of Berlin.

Marcel Dettmann in Berghain
Berghain is probably the most famous techno club in Berlin. If you are looking for the best party in Berlin, it’s a great idea to visit the Berghain. The only small problem could be that it not easy to get into the Berghain. It’s one of the most popular clubs in the world and on a regular Saturday-night there is a long line and about half of the people will unfortunately not get in. So if you want to visit the Berghain, make sure you are prepared for a small disappointment.
But if you get into the Berghain you will have a great night. This club has been voted as the best club in the world many times. So I would suggest you make the best of the time you are waiting and if you will not get in you can always try another techno-club in the same area. The club Mensch Meier currently is one of the more popular places to party in Berlin. Most people love this club because of the laidback vibe and the typical raw style. The club is located close to Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg so you can reach it from station Landsberger Allee by foot. The three different floors often focus on electronic music but one of them also offers disco and older hits from time to time. Altogether Mensch Meier is definitely a place you want to visit one of the best parties in Berlin.

Finn Johannsen in Paloma
The Paloma Club is one of these clubs in Berlin which is not known by a lot of people. It’s located at the station Kottbusser Tor which is a very vibrant area to grab a drink before actually visiting the party. From the outside it’s not very easy to spot the Paloma club as its located on the first floor of a larger building. Still it’s a club which often offers a very solid line-up and has reasonable prices.

DJ Finn Johannsen is a DJ who was born in Kiel. He has been around for several decades and often plays gigs in Berlin. He is closely related to both the Paloma Club and the Monarch. Kölsch in Watergate
Watergate is one of these clubs located at the Spree and a very popular place for both tourist and Berliners. In my opinion the club misses a little bit of the rawness of Berlin but it definitely offers some great features to compensate. There is a balcony directly above the water and when the sun rises it offers the best view ever. Besides that the line-up of Watergate is normally like a great festival: Many large DJs and great labels. If you want to read more about the Watergate, you can read this article.
DJ Kölsch: Absolute legend in Germany and beyond
Kölsch is one of these experienced DJs which has been performing in “the scene” for more than 20 years. His real name is Rune Reilly Kolsch and he was born in Denmark. His music-style can be best described as Techno but he is also famous for his Drum & Bass sets. On this night in Berlin, Kölsch will be performing in the Watergate and I guess this is going to be a great night for all people who love to party.

P.E.A.R.L. in RSO.Berlin
A club called RSO.Berlin (Revier Südost) is located a bit further east of the center in a district called Schöneweide. This club was opened by the people who previously ran the Griessmuehle. Because Berlin has this awesome public transport network you can still reach this club within 30 minutes from almost everywhere. Just take the S9 to station Schöneweide and after only 5 minutes walk you can see RSO.Berlin. Besides a club the Revier Südost also offers flea markets, a beergarden and many other events and activities.
P.E.A.R.L. : Solid techno music
P.E.A.R.L. was born and raised in Santander, in the north of Spain. In the nineties he got inspired by the UK-House music and you an still hear this sound in his sets sometimes. His music fits in the clubs in Berlin very well, because it is solid techno as we are used in clubs like Tresor, Berghain and Golden Gate. If you want to listen to some music of P.E.A.R.L. before you go and party in Berlin, you can find a liveset in the Tresor here.

Pretty Pink in Ritter Butzke
The Ritter Butzke is one of the clubs in Berlin which is represented in my party-calendar almost every month. If you like to party in Berlin and you love a solid line-up, you will probably love the DJs which are performing in the Ritter Butzke. Talented names like AndHim, Lexer and Oliver Koletzki can be found playing here several times a year. In the club you can find three inside-floors, a lounge-area and a garden in which you can also dance. The entrance usually costs between 12-18€ and you can reach this Berliner club by foot from Moritzplatz (U8).
Pretty Pink: Awesome melodic livesets
Pretty Pink is a beautiful female DJ who we’ve seen live in Berlin about 5 years back and loved her music. On Soundcloud you can listen to her set in the Ritter Butzke for example. On this night we believe this is the best party in Berlin and you should visit it if you like melodic techno.

Britta Arnold in Kater Blau
One of the most popular clubs Berlin has ever known was the Kater Holzig. If you have read my article about this club, you probably know that it was quite a unique place to party in Berlin. But unfortunately the club had to close down and Berlin lost one of his great venues. But not long after closing down the owners opened a new place which is called Kater Blau. The club is located directly at the Spree and still has this same unique feel to it. The door-policy did not change so it is still not easy to get in, but the place is definitely worth a visit.
Britta Arnold: Versatile electronic music
Britta Arnold is a real child of Berlin. She was born east of the wall in 1984 and therefore she has been in the music-business for quite some time. The special relation with the city still exists and for that reason Britta often plays in clubs like Kater Blau. One of our favourite sets was the Fusion Festival set in 2015. You can listen to it here.
DJs: Britta Arnold
Club: Kater Blau
Address: Holzmarktstraße 25
Opening hours: Friday 23:59 – Tuesday 06.00
