The Zitadelle in Spandau is one of the best maintained castles in Europe and offers an event on New Years Eve which is perfect for all ages.
Impressive location with a unique vibe
We have been in the Zitadelle a few times and were very impressed by the location. Celebrating NYE in the courtyard of a castle is something you do not do every year. The castle is surrounded by water and inside the walls you will find many stands with both food and drinks. Besides that there will obviously be music, you can dance on several dance floors and there is also a disco for children.
Four rounds of fireworks
Besides music you can enjoy fireworks at four different times during the night (6pm, 8pm, 10pm and midnight). Once again this is great for families because even the smaller children will still be awake to see the first round of fireworks. One of the more expensive club-party
The tickets of this HYTE-Party start around 50€ in the early-bird phase and go up to almost 100€. This is a lot of money for a party in Berlin and this event would have been listed higher if the price would have been more reasonable. Although all parties in this list are worth a visit, some of them are quite expensive. Lucky enough there are also some clubs which sell tickets for New Years Eve for as much as 15€. So if you want to have a great time with your friends in a club and you do not care too much about the names of the DJs, this event might be perfect for you.
If you hear about an entrance of 15 Euro, you might suspect that the party will not be that special. Most simple bars in Holland or the UK expect at least 20-25 Euro on New Years Eve. But in Berlin these things are different: In 2016 I visited the NYE party in the Humbolthain Club for a few hours and had a great time. It was not overly crowded, the music was solid and the drinks were reasonably priced. There are two separate floors and there is also an outside area to have a smoke or chill with your friends for a bit.

Parties on New Years Eve are often compared to normal parties in a regular weekend. As you usually pay a bit more you also expect a bit more. It makes sense. If you want to be sure that your New Years Eve in Berlin will not be the same as a regular night out, you can celebrate it on a boat. Enjoying the night and countdown on the Spree, Havel or other waters surrounding Berlin is definitely something unique and unforgettable.
Onboarding in Treptower Park
If you would like to celebrate New Years Eve on a boat you have to decide as soon as possible. There are just a limited amount of boats and usually the tickets are sold out very quickly. Make sure you also check where the boat is taken off because you do not want to travel to the other side of the city for that. A very central place is the Hafen Treptow which is directly at the Treptower Park.
All Inclusive tickets for about 100€
The tickets for these boats are not cheap: Including drinks and food you usually pay around 120-140€. The website below shows an option for 139€. Obviously one of the greatest things about celebrating New Years Eve on a boat is the fact that you will have a spectacular view on the fireworks.
