Living in a large city like Berlin has the big advantage of being able to visit many exiting exhibitions. Some of them can be visited permanently but most of the time it’s the temporary exhibitions which are most fun. In 2024 the exhibition Tim Burton’s Labyrinth came to Berlin and if you like this famous producer, you should go and check it out.
Tim Burton’s Labyrinth
The Tim Burton exhibition offers its visitors a mix of a show and an adventure. Compared to a more traditional museum, this labyrinth is much more surprising because it’s created like a maze. There are many different rooms and it takes visitors between 30 and 45 minutes to walk through. The labyrinth was created by Tim Burton himself as you can see on the official website.

15 Different Rooms
The labyrinth consists of 15 different rooms which are all dedicated to different movies and parts of Tim Burton’s life. You start in a room with four doors and have to press a big red button. Then the doors light up one by one until one of them stays illuminated. After that you choose between doors with numbers all the time and this makes the experience interactive and fun.
Vibrant location: RAW Gelände
Tim Burton’s Labyrinth is located at the RAW Gelände. This is one of the most vibrant areas of Berlin and therefore you can combine a visit very easily with a visit to things like driving a hotrod, going to a bar or restaurant or going into a Berliner club like Suicide Circus, Zum schmutzigen Hobby or the Watergate.

Our review
Overall we feel the Tim Burton Exhibition is worth a visit. But it’s clearly a lot more fun if you are a big fan of his movies and work. The rooms are decorated with great care but in each room there is usually 1-2 big characters and a few paintings. Therefore 30-45 minutes is really enough. The price is rather high with The labyrinth is nice Compared to places like Natural History Museum or the Museum of Technology we feel it’s a bit expensive with 23-26€ per ticket for an adult. Below you can find the summary of our verdict:
Fun- Kids 6-10 Years: 6/10
Fun – Adults: 7/10
Price: Expensive (23-26€)
Expected time: 30-45 Minutes
Overall rating: 6/10
